Country Living Fair Columbus - It's a wrap!

Ladder displays are fun!

Well, the weekend flew by... it always seems to go so fast.
I got to see lots of repeat customers this weekend.
It's so great to see you all every year.
Braving the elements and crowds for the
experience that is the Country Living Fair.

Peek-a-boo!

I have loads of treasures left over... I'm thinking of having my own Country Fair, to give locals the opportunity to shop and purchase any items they may have had their heart set on, but didn't have room in the car for the perfect farmhouse table or sweet kid's cabinet...

Newest prop... wallpaper hanger's table - Love it!
The weather was interesting all weekend...
hot and sunny, windy and rainy...
but the shoppers still shopped!

Drones...
I didn't have a chance to download the app until this evening.
Seems like a great addition to the Fair experience.
I'll learn about putting my information on to make it easier to find me.

Happy doggy!
Well, that's a wrap.  Thanks for a wonderful weekend.
See you all soon.

Enjoy!

Country Living Columbus Year 4!

Well, somehow it's already the end of Saturday
at Columbus Country Living...
Not sure how all of the months and weeks
vanished since Nashville in April.
Yet, here we are Mid September.
Which means I've been busy making lots of new things for you!

Lovely Back Wall

And I am having a great time!
My daughter and sister are helping me
& as I've stated before,
this is not a show that can be done alone.

I am forever grateful to them both for their help...
especially keeping me focused,
and helping to keep the booth in order during
the blustery day we experienced today.
Love Owls!
Recap of the week so far...
Remember my first two shows... when it was freezing on Friday...
Well, this year, it was HOT! and sunny on Friday.
Lots of shoppers braving the heat.

Friday Treasures

And Saturday was windy and rainy for the middle part of the day.
You could hear things crashing all around us.

Octopus!!!

Forecast for Sunday is clear skies and warm weather.
Hoping for cooler than Friday.

Loads of Must Haves

As usual, I've met a lot of super nice women:
wonderful groups of sisters, moms  daughters, BFFs.
It's such a wonderful way to spend the weekend.

Gorgeous weather

One more day on tap... Lots of treasures are left.

So come on out to see what I have in store for you.

All of my favorite things!
Milo wearing a collar... loving it!

I'm looking forward to working on a few custom orders next week.
If you ordered from me, keep an eye out for an email regarding your order.

If you wanted something and didn't make it back to the booth,
drop me a line and I'll be happy to create something for you.

If you bought something I hope it will bring you joy!

Hope to see you tomorrow!

Enjoy!

Farewell Columbus Country Living Fair

As usual, the last day of the Country Living Fair is always beautiful and sunny.

This year was especially nice.

Check out the blue skies and perfect clouds.
Sales were brisk and everyone was really friendly.
All in all a great way to end the weekend.

Met some really nice people -
I feel very blessed to be part of such a wonderful show.

Perfect kid size hutch.

I have to thank my neighbors:

David, Sally & Tony and Susie & Dan for being so sweet.

We looked out for each other and formed a nice bond.
I'm not sure how I could have done some of this without them.

I am looking forward to seeing them all next year.

Just love the vase of flowers

And a special thanks to my husband for driving up to bring home
everything that wouldn't fit in the car
as I fell short of the goal to "sell everything" but came very close.

Lars on the ladder

I couldn't have done the show without my daughter's help on Friday & Saturday.
Thank you so much!
Can't wait to decorate your room with your finds from the show.

And thanks again to my friend Barb on Saturday.
She's helped me with two shows this year.
Her merchandising experience is a huge help to me.

Outside the booth

Met some super sweet puppies who went home wearing the dog collars!
They looked very dapper.

Sweet puppies!

Here are some of my favorite things
still left from the show... maybe coming to a show near you soon!

Ready for a kid's playroom.

Love this vintage coral

Country Living 2015

Country Living Fair - Columbus!

It's been a gorgeous weekend so far.
Sunny and warm on Friday, a little rainy and chilly on Saturday
but it looks to be a beautiful day tomorrow.

While I haven't been blogging lately, I've been busy make many new products.
I have lots left so come on out to see them &
all of the wonderful treasures at the Country Living Fair in Columbus.

I had a special treat this year, I got to work with my daughter for a few days.
Her creativity and and help were so wonderful.
It was great to see her interact with clients and help keep me organized.

Hopefully, she'll be able to help me for years to come.

Helping arrange the last minute touches

Also my friend Barb helped today too
& was a great asset especially during the rain.

Both Allie and Barb loved seeing me get drenched with water from the tent edge.
One lesson learned today -
Tent sides are like sails...
No matter how many clamps you have,
you don't have enough!

This is all Allie's handiwork.

Some additions to the Salmon Alley line include these adorable ball chain necklaces.
Finding the vintage keys and other trinkets was a big part of the fun.

Getting the last few items priced before the early birds arrive

Some of Allie's handiwork
I love making new owls and octopi
with more animals to come.

Hoot!
I love seeing how they develop personalities
seeing everyone's reactions to their names.

More Octopi and owls

These feather were so fun to make. You can be sure there will be more soon.
I can make these to order too.

Feathers - new and lovely

Saturday started a little slowly this year with the early birds,
but the crowd for the opening at 10 was huge.
A wonderful sight!  Shoppers waiting to start their day.

Dog collars are a new addition to the line as well.
My dog Trudy is modeling for me.
She seems to love wearing it.
It's comfortable and classy.

Trudy loves her new collar - she's looking spiffy.

The latest ideas sometimes work out.
I have a lot of mason jars and this old tin... makes an adorable vase.

It's one-of-a-kind... so cute.

In case your Country Living experience is over for this year,
I'll be at Oakley Fancy Flea on Saturday September 26 from 10 - 4.

Hope you are able to be there.

 Enjoy!

Well, Hello There!

Remember me?

I've been pretty busy these past few months.
Work, (the day job) has been the busiest ever.

I made a dress in February,
March and April for a work event.

It came in Second Place!
I spent about 120 hours making it.
It weighs more than 20 pounds!

This dress won 2nd place!

And now my summer show schedule is in full swing!

Fall breezing in

It's been an abrupt switch from summer to fall...
all in the space of about 12 hours -

Friday night to Saturday morning.

And with the chilly weather I have been inspired
to create a variety of new owls and octopi.

It's an Owl Family!

Hot pink owl for Emily

It's hard to choose favorites - this one is near the top of the list!

Got to see the Octopus at the Newport Aquarium - such an interesting creature.

She couldn't wait for me to leave for work in the morning... had to get on her cozy chair.

And I have finished all of my custom orders which are shipping out this week!
Let me know you've received them and that they are to your liking...

I want you to all be happy.

I was delighted to see that Salmon Alley was posted about
in another blog following the Country Living show!
I had a lovely conversation with Jayne at the show.
I had no idea she posted about Salmon Alley!

Thank you!  I love your blog - so many beautiful quilts.
Looks like you had a great time at Country Living with your family.

I love that the show lets friends and families,
often generations hang out for a day or two just
shopping and browsing together.
Everyone is always friendly & enthusiastic about the show.

It's infectious (in a good way!)

Maybe it's the cold snap that seems to be ordered up just for that weekend.

Here's a link to Jayne's blog:  Please check it out.

Well, that's all for tonight...
I've got several more things to finish before
the next Oakley Fancy Flea.

I'll have more fall things as well as Holiday decor.

November 16 11-5 at the 20th Century Theater...

Indoors and on Sunday -
Football and shopping
Truly something for everyone!

Hope to see you there.

Enjoy!
